The story of the BMW Z4 3.0 began in 2005, when the prototype was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The public response was so positive that BMW quickly decided to transform the concept car into a production model, which arrived on the road in 2006.
Created under the direction of Chris Bangle, the Z4 comes from one of the boldest periods in BMW design. Its concave and convex surfaces, long bonnet, rear-set cabin and distinctive fastback profile give it a presence that remains unmistakable today.
Powered by the 3.0-litre naturally aspirated N52 straight-six engine producing 265 hp, it delivers smooth power, a full-bodied sound and the ability to build revs with a natural response that modern turbocharged engines struggle to replicate. Paired with a six-speed manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive, it takes the Z4 from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds and on to a top speed of 250 km/h.
